- During a recent piece of work at The Orchards, a retirement living scheme managed by The Riverside Group, a common challenge arose due to the communal heating and water systems, where shutting off services to one apartment would impact multiple residents, a careful and coordinated approach was needed to ensure minimal disruption to residents while delivering a high-quality adaptation.
- To navigate the challenge of interconnected heating and water services, the team worked closely with The Riverside Group’s Scheme Manager and their in-house maintenance contractor, this collaboration allowed for the identification and selective isolation of valves, ensuring work could proceed without affecting other residents. This proactive approach ensured that work was completed efficiently while maintaining resident comfort and safety.
